Peekaboo Raccoon in the Hollow Tree

A bushy little raccoon peeks out from a round hole in the trunk of a tree, his round eyes wide with surprise and wonder. His tiny paws grip the edge of the tree’s opening, and his striped face looks right out, ready to spot his first friend of the morning.

Wavy lines decorate the tree bark around him, making it look old, sturdy, and safe, just right for a raccoon’s cozy hideout. The raccoon’s ears perk up, and his soft fur fluffs out, as though he’s just popped up to say hello on a breezy woodland day.

Fun Fact!

A raccoon's long, nimble fingers help it catch fish or crayfish directly from shallow water.
