Bright-Eyed Squirrel with Fluffy Tail

This squirrel sits with tiny paws tucked close, whiskers standing out and round eyes sparkling with curiosity. Every bit of her fur seems ready to twitch as she listens for the softest sound, ears perked tall and lined with neat little tufts. She looks right at you, nose twitching, as if she might ask for a snack.

Her bushy tail swirls behind her like a fancy plume. Each line of her fur waits for a color to fill it in, from the tip of her nose to the tips of her tiny claws. She’s holding perfectly still, hoping to spot a nut or a new friend nearby.

Fun Fact!

Squirrels will often run in a zigzag pattern when trying to escape a predator.
