Gentle Giant with Wrinkly Whiskers

A hippo fills the whole page with his giant, round head. He has big floppy ears poking out, a serious eye looking right at you, and wide, soft nostrils. His thick lips show a few gentle wrinkles, and curved lines cover his skin from ear to chin. Every part of him looks calm and thoughtful, like he just finished a long float in the river.

All those wiggly lines on his face and neck twist and turn, making his skin look rumpled but friendly. His nose and ears stick out, almost tickling the edge of the paper. One bright eye peeks out from under heavy folds, inviting you to bring him to life with color.

Fun Fact!

Millions of years ago, there were many different types of hippo species, but only two exist today.
