Grumpy Ogre Juggles River Stones

A small ogre boy plants his big boots and lifts both hands as smooth, oval stones float in a careful loop around his head. His eyebrows tilt down in serious concentration, and his round eyes track each stone. Messy hair sticks up in short spikes, and his pointy ears peek out like little sails in the wind.

He wears a ragged tunic tied with a chunky belt, the buckle square and shiny. The hem zigzags over sturdy legs, ready for more practice. He looks determined, lips pressed tight, counting the stones as they whirl: one, two, three, four. Empty space around him leaves plenty of room for a forest path, a cave wall, or sparkly motion lines.

Fun Fact!

The "Fomorians" from Irish mythology were a race of supernatural beings often described as giant, deformed, or ogre-like.
