Midnight Fencepost Hiss

A bristly cat perches on a tall fence post, every hair standing like tiny thorns. Her back arches high, and her tail puffs into a big bottlebrush. She pins her ears flat and opens her mouth wide, showing sharp little teeth as she hisses.

The wooden post wears long scratchy lines that look like real grain, and a rail stretches behind it like a path. The cat crouches on tiptoes, claws ready, eyes round and fierce. She looks like Halloween whispered Boo, and she answered with a loud mrrr-row!

Fun Fact!

Astronauts aboard the International Space Station have been known to celebrate Halloween, sometimes dressing up in costumes in zero gravity.
