Nibbles Peeks Out from a Cozy Nest

A chubby little hamster peeks out from a pile of soft, twisty straw, her tiny paws barely poking out from her round, furry belly. Her big, shiny eyes sparkle as she looks right at you, mouth open in the middle of a happy squeak. It looks like she just woke up and is ready for a nibble or a scamper.

Long, gentle whiskers tickle her cheeks, and tufts of fur stick up on her head and back. All around, strands of straw curl in loops, making a snug nest. Even a few bits of straw float down, showing how she’s been busy wiggling her way into her favorite spot.

Fun Fact!

A mother hamster is very protective of her pups and usually takes good care of them.
