Sleepy Bat Pals on the Branch

Four little bats dangle side by side from a knobbly branch. Each one wraps its wings tight like a blanket, toes curled over the stick. Their round noses peek out, and their big ears point up like tiny sails. Small smiles tell us they feel calm and cozy.

The branch twists with bumpy bark and skinny twig tips, leaving lots of sky around them. The bats look right at you, upside down and a bit silly, waiting for nighttime fun. Shade their ears soft inside and darker outside, then color the branch in warm browns. The open background leaves space for a moon or a few friendly stars.
