Sunny Day at the Hippo Pond

Mama Hippo stands in the water with her little boy, both wearing big, round smiles. Her wide nose almost touches his ear as they splash close together in the shallow pond. The little hippo lifts his tiny hooves out of the water, making gentle ripples that spread over the muddy puddles.

Bushy green grass grows along the pond’s edge, and a pair of leafy plants peek out behind their round backs. Fluffy clouds drift above their heads while three birds swoop through the bright sky, filling the scene with gentle, happy energy.

Fun Fact!

A hippo's stomach has multiple compartments, but it's not a true ruminant like a cow; its digestive system is unique.
