Big Moon, Brave Werewolf Howl

A round moon sits like a glowing cookie behind a howling werewolf. He lifts his snout high and opens his mouth wide so we can see tall fangs and a curled tongue. Pointed ears peek up, and his nose stretches forward as if sniffing the chilly night. Sharp, zigzag lines show thick fur around his cheeks and neck.

His strong chest and shoulders fill the page with big spaces that beg for bright crayons. The fur along his arms makes stripes you can follow with short, scratchy strokes. He looks busy singing to the moon, loud and wild, not mean. The open sky around him leaves room to draw stars, a bat, or a wispy cloud.
