Moonlit Reef Stomper

Under a big round moon, a scaly sea monster stomps out of the waves and onto the sand. His eyes pop wide, and his mouth shows rows of sharp teeth, like tiny white spikes. Spiky fins rise along his head and back, and cheek fins flare like fans. Long arms stretch forward, each hand loaded with curvy claws ready to scoop a shell.

He bends his knees and spreads his webbed toes, leaving squishy prints by the waterline. Ripples curl behind him, and skinny lines show muscles, scales, and bumps across his belly and legs. He looks grumpy, like he skipped his seaweed snack, but the moonlight makes him shine. Clouds drift nearby, and the beach waits for bright crayons and brave strokes.
