Muddy Ogre Splash Party

A giggly ogre boy pops up in the biggest mud puddle. He throws both hands high as muddy drops leap around him. His round belly jiggles with squishy splats. Pointy ears peek from his smooth, bald head while a huge grin shows tiny teeth.

Ripples race in circles around his knees and splashy waves hop like little fish. Blobby spots drip down his arms and shorts, making funny shapes to color. He leans forward with joy, eyes squeezed into happy arcs. The whole scene swishes and splashes, ready for bold colors and giggles.

Fun Fact!

The monster Grendel from the epic poem "Beowulf" is an ogre-like creature, described as a "fiend out of hell" who devours warriors.

Coloring Tips

  1. 1 Use mossy greens for his skin, then dab darker green dots for muddy specks.
  2. 2 Blend two browns in the puddle so the splashes look swirly and wet.
  3. 3 Leave tiny white gaps on droplets to make shiny highlights.
  4. 4 Add a simple background: pebbles, reeds, or a tiny frog at the edge.
