Opossum Hangs Out in the Treetops

A scruffy opossum dangles upside down from a thick branch, holding on tight with his tail and tiny paws. His black nose points down as if he’s peeking at something fun on the ground. You can see his round ear swiveling, always listening for rustling leaves. The branch above him curls with swirling lines, and a few pointy leaves pop out at the end.

This fellow looks relaxed, fur fluffed, as his claws grip the bark. His striped tail wraps snugly around the wood like a twisty rope. There’s plenty of space around him, just waiting for swirling colors or a painted sky. Opossums really are the acrobats of the animal world, and he looks ready for a nap or the next snack.
