Oscar the Opossum's Big Surprise

Oscar the opossum just discovered something shocking in his snack! His fuzzy body shakes, his wide eyes pop open, and his tiny paws grip torn scraps. He looks like he just bit into the sourest lemon on Earth, teeth showing and whiskers flying in all directions.

His long striped tail curls behind him as he stands on tiptoes, frozen in a burst of surprise. Even the fur around his round ears bristles with excitement. Big drops pop out above his head. Oscar’s wild expression fills the whole page, capturing a moment when everything went upside-down.

Fun Fact!

A male opossum is sometimes called a 'jack', and a female opossum is called a 'jill'.
