Billy the Platypus Swims Beneath the Pond

Billy the platypus glides through cool water, bubbles floating up from his bill as he paddles his wide tail. His round eyes shine with curiosity while his flippers steer him past leafy water plants and smooth river stones. Sunlight dances on the wavy lines of the pond, making every moment feel alive.

On both sides of Billy, tall reeds wave gently next to pebbles that rest on the muddy pond bottom. With each stroke, Billy’s soft fur ripples, and his duck-shaped bill looks ready for a ticklish nuzzle. He looks content and playful, exploring his cozy home under the water.

Fun Fact!

The hind feet and tail of a platypus are used more for steering and stability while swimming.
