Ollie Opossum Pops Up for a Peek

Ollie the opossum grins wide as he peeks his fuzzy head out of a tall trash can. His big, round ears stand up like tiny radar dishes, and his whiskers wiggle with excitement. One paw clings to the edge while the other waves hello, as if he's just found something silly inside.

A stripey, curled tail trails over the side of the can and rests on the ground. Next to him, a half-eaten apple core and a crumpled leaf lie on the pavement, showing where his snack hunt began. The lid sits askew on his head like a funny hat, making Ollie the happiest little garbage explorer in town.

Fun Fact!

Opossums have a lower body temperature than most other mammals, which might help them resist some diseases, like rabies.
