Spotted Hyena on a Wiggly Walk

A young hyena pads along with its nose stretched forward and ears perked right up. Dark spots splatter across its fur like someone dotted it with a paintbrush, and each paw steps carefully, as if listening for giggles hiding in the grass.

Its eyes look bright with mischief, and skinny legs bend as it creeps closer. Shaggy hair stands up along its neck and back, making the little hyena look extra wild and ready for fun. No one could miss its pointy ears and wide, curious grin.

Fun Fact!

The gestation period for a Spotted hyena (how long a mother is pregnant) is about 110 days, or nearly 4 months.
