Bubbles With a Playful Platypus

A plump platypus dives nose-first through the water, webbed feet stretched wide as if he is ready for a big underwater hug. Little round bubbles swirl around him, rising toward the top like tiny surprise balloons. His bill looks wide and bouncy, and his eyes peek out with serious curiosity, keeping watch for anything fun swimming past.

His sturdy tail spreads behind him, helping him glide smoothly along the bottom of the pond. With every paddle, his flippers send more bubbles dancing up, making the whole scene feel busy and bright. This platypus looks ready for a day splashing and exploring every corner of his watery home.

A platypus burrow can be very long, sometimes up to 65 feet (20 meters), with several chambers inside.

Coloring Tips
