Whispers Around the Haunted House

The tall house stacks pointy roofs like party hats and shows a big arched door with twisty swirls. Ribbony ghosts pop from the windows, each with a round O mouth and wide, funny eyes. They drift along the walls like noodles in soup, curling under the porch and around the steps. The windows stay dark, with cross bars that make little plus signs.

Wavy lines wrap the tower and slide across the shingles while more ghosts glide past the side rooms. One floats over the doorway as if he is the doorman, giving a breezy hello. Another peeks from a skinny attic window and swishes his tail into a loop. The whole house feels windy and busy, full of bold Halloween shadows and soft, misty spirits.
