Harvest Corn On The Cob

A plump ear of corn peeks from its husk. Long leaves curl back like ribbons, showing rows of rounded kernels. Each kernel sits snug and shiny, stacked in neat lines down the cob. A short stem at the bottom holds it steady.

This harvest star brings Thanksgiving to the table. Color the kernels sunny yellow, or sprinkle in reds and oranges like fall corn. Trace the slim veins on the husks and make them tall and green. Let the cob glow warm, as if it just came from the basket.

Fun Fact!

A pumpkin is technically a fruit, not a vegetable, which means pumpkin pie is a fruit pie!
