Mosaic Walrus and His Wiggly Whiskers

A walrus with wide, friendly eyes fills the page, his wrinkly face covered in blocky, mosaic-like patterns. Two long tusks stretch down in front, smooth and bright, while small square patches map out his bumpy cheeks and chin. His shiny nose sits right in the middle, ready to sniff the chilly air.

All those chunky shapes make him look like he is wearing a puzzle! Every line curves and crisscrosses, showing off the walrus’s floppy face and grand mustache. This swimming fellow is ready for a splash of color from little hands.

Fun Fact!

The pupils of a walrus's eyes are small, which may help reduce glare from the bright ice and snow.
