Wombat Walks the Zebra Stripes

A round-bellied wombat trots across the wide white stripes. She lifts one paw mid-step, eyes bright and nose like a shiny bean. Her little ears point up, and a friendly smile curves across her snout.

Beside her, a diamond road sign stands tall with a tiny wombat drawing and big words: WOMBAT CROSSING. The long zebra stripes lead her safely across the road. Clean, bold lines leave roomy spaces for color and pattern. The scene feels calm, as if the street pauses so she can waddle by.

Fun Fact!

A wombat uses its sharp front claws not only for digging but also for grooming its thick fur.
