Wombat Snack Under Gum Trees

A round-nosed wombat pauses between two tall gum trees. He chews a mouthful of grass, whiskers sticking out in funny little lines. Chunky paws press into thick tufts, and his dark eyes stay calm and curious.

Bark lines ripple down the trunks while long leaves dangle over his back. Sharp blades sprout all around his sturdy legs and wide belly. Bold, smooth outlines make roomy spaces ready for earthy browns, soft grays, and bright greens.

Fun Fact!

A wombat's burrow helps protect it from the extreme heat of Australian summers and the cold of winter.
