Wally Wombat in the Ferns

Wally Wombat pads between smooth rocks, his round belly leading the way. He faces left with a neat black nose and tiny whiskers that twitch. Short ears stick up like little triangles. Behind him, tall fern fronds fan out in tidy rows.

He stands steady on stubby legs, ready for a slow, friendly plod. Thick lines trace his soft cheeks and paws, making big spaces to fill with color. Pebbles rest by his toes, and the ground looks calm and sandy. The open sky around him leaves room to add a sun or a gentle hill.

Fun Fact!

By protecting Australia's native bushland, we are also helping to protect the wonderful and unique wombat.
