Wally the Backyard Wombat

Wally the wombat sits in the middle with his round belly resting on the ground. His bright eyes look straight ahead, and his square nose points up like a shiny button. Short ears peek out, and the fur lines across his body make him look soft and sturdy.

Two tall sprigs of wattle lean in on both sides, dotted with bouncy pom-pom flowers. Smooth leaves curve around his head like a wreath from the bush. Wally keeps his front paws tucked close, ready for a slow, friendly waddle.

Fun Fact!

A wombat's front teeth are sharp and chisel-like, perfect for snipping off tough grasses.
