Zebra Stripe Parade

Wavy stripes slide across a zebra’s side like little rivers. The lines grow wide, then squeeze thin, curving around her belly and hip. A sharp stripe near the middle points inward, and every band stays crisp and bold, ready for bright crayons.

Down below, her hind leg steps forward, wrapped in skinny bands that loop and bend. White spaces peek out between the black lines like paths to color. No background crowds the view; it is all stripes and movement. Little hands can follow one stripe at a time from top to bottom.

Fun Fact!

A zebra spends a lot of its day, sometimes over 12 hours, just grazing and eating grass.

Coloring Tips

  1. 1 Pick two markers and alternate colors along each stripe for a fun rhythm.
  2. 2 Start at the top and trace one stripe all the way down before moving on.
